Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.
Anyone who sees me do the errands run every week can attest to my affinity for the bun. Now that I no longer have a bun (actually 2 buns) in the oven, I like to sport a bun on top of my head!
Take this outing for an example, the weather was unexpectedly windy and my hair was long overdue for a cut. How did I battle the in between salon visits? A bun…that’s right…the so busy mom just rolled into the ballerina bun look!
Not all top knot buns have to be profesisonal looking. This time saving style updo was literally done in less than a minute. It’s hassle free, easy to style, and the best thing was that my boys were not be able to tug and pull my hair when I carried them. What is your time saving style?

You look great, love the ensemble and your hair looks super cute! My hair is in the in between stage not quite long enough for a bun. Your boys are adorable!

Beautiful! Love the peplum!

Your hairstyle looks professionally done — beautiful! Love the peplum top. I found a similar one at the Loft recently but haven’t worn it yet. I like how you’ve styled yours with the turquoise pants and belt.

Lovely as usual. Your boys are adorable. I have bun envy. Please share with me how you do your bun. I’d love to know how yours looks so effortless.
Thank you, Barbara. It involves 1 comb, 4 bobby pins, 1 elastin band, and some hairspray. Tease your hair throughout. Tie your hair in a pony tail with the elastin band. Tease the pony tail and swirl the hair around it. Secure it with bobby pins and lightly spray the bun to tame the flyaways. I will have a tutorial soon on my post so stay tuned 🙂
Love these photos. The bun looks fabulous on you. And those pants and those shoes together look amazing!
Thank you, Lindsay.

So cute! I’m a first time visitor (popping over from Mix & Match link up) and I love your header image! I wish my hair was long enough for top buns. As a former ballerina, I am a huge fan of the bun!

You are just too cute! I love the entire look. I am growing my hair out now so a bun is in my near future!
I totally agree with you, a bun is the way to go when you are in a time crunch. Which is pretty much all the time for us moms:) I LOVE your hair like that and it looks like you spent a ton of time to get the look. Your outfit is fabulous as usual. Thanks so much for linking up:-) Hope you have a fantastic week!
Thank you, Sherry.
Absolutely LOVE this blog. Buns are so chic especially in the summer. I just came across your blog and have been catching up on posts. I recently became obsessed with TopShelf (http://www.topshelfclothes.com/shoppers/sign_up) – not sure if you’ve heard of it. It is basically like an online stylist. Definitely helps me save time and find chic deals since I can totally customize it to my style and price points. 🙂
Busy moms helping other busy moms! Can’t wait to keep up with your posts, especially the favorite things ones!! LOVE!
Thank you Erin.
