For this month’s remix & restyle series, I have selected one of my all time favorite closet staples, my v-neck cashmere sweater in cream. V-neck sweaters and tops in general are arguably some of the most flattering garments a woman can wear. The v-shaped neckline highlights and flatters your body shape, which makes you look taller and thinner. It also gives the illusion of a longer neck with leaner face shape. Without a doubt, v-necks are simply chic, elegant, and sexy!
I will admit this 1,000 times over…I am a cashmere whore. I can spot a cashmere coat/sweater/hat/scarf 30 miles away…really I can. My love for cashmere started when I was a teenager. It was this beat up cashmere sweater that my mom had purchased from the yard sale. Although it was covered with pills I couldn’t stop feeling the material on my hands. It felt luxurious and elegant. I didn’t know it was called ‘cashmere” and I found out later that they were (still are) very expensive.
So, when I had my first ‘real’ full time job in my early twenties, I saved up my money and purchased my first v-neck cashmere sweater in black. I wore that sweater like nobody’s business. Since then I invested in a few more cashmere sweaters, this one is one of them. This sumptuous sweater that I love season after season has accompanied me throughout my travel years to different countries as well as to conferences for work.
For the first look, I styled this sweater with skinny jeans, blazer, and stilettos. To complete the look I layered my necklaces in chains and pearls. This outfit is actually my quick, easy, no brainer casual wear uniform. Without spending a lot of time coordinating the pieces together, I can easily put this outfit on and dash out the door to run errands, meet up with friends, or out and about with the family. Check back next week to see how I will restyle this v-neck cashmere sweater.

Thanks for sharing this gorgeous look with Visible Monday! xo
Thank you Patti!
This look makes me crave a striped blazer something fierce. I am telling myself I don’t need one because I have a striped jacket, but this is kind of different. Hm… thanks for the temptation!!

Thank you and you are welcome!
A lovely you … you do effortless casual chic as well as you dress to the nines, Janise!
I’m having trouble finding Vs of the right depth. Either too deep or two shallow for me of late. I’ll keep at it, as they are flattering, as you point out!
What a pretty link up … you are all in excellent company.
Thank you Jan. Hope you will find that V!
I adore your skirt and bow pumps, so fabulous! And the striped blazer with layered jewels is perfect too! Thanks for sharing with Three-fer Thursday.

What’s not to love about cashmere! I bought an Hermes cashmere sweater years ago and I was so devastated to discover that moths had nibbled the sleeves! Not devastated enough to not still wear it though, it is Hermes after all!
