Summer is only weeks away but it decided to pay an early visit for several days by dropping a record setting triple-digit temperatures. Or, maybe it was testing us? Summer is my least favorite season and the heat has a lot to do with it. The heat makes me feel tired, sleepy, groggy, irritable and physically bloated. Yes, its like PMS on steroids for me.
How to dress stylishly in heat and humidity? What do you reach for in your closet when you need to dash out the house in the summer heat? Or is there anything in your closet that you can actually wear to withstand the heat? The solution is to reach for easy, breezy summer dresses. I have yet to unboxed my summer clothes but thankfully this cotton smocked dress (my closet staple for the past 10 years) sitting in the closet came in handy for a dinner outing. With a little help from a statement necklace and a pair of raffia pumps, I transformed the outfit from a casual blah to a dressy frock. So if Summer wants to come out and play a lot sooner my smocked dress is up for the challenge!
