Last month was quite exciting because finally we were able to purchase a pair of premium, timeless pumps from the money that we had saved since January.
We had $52.96 left from last month’s spending and we are adding this amount to our $200 monthly budget for June. So, for this month we have a total of $252.96 to spend.
A lot of people think you have to spend a lot of money to look like a million bucks. Well, you don’t and I can show you how through this monthly series.
Keep in mind that we are building a cohesive wardrobe that you can mix and match for seasons to come. For June, I was able to locate some great pieces for summer. Here’s what I found for less than $229.22

Off the Shoulder Blouse ($24.99): I love the off-the-shoulder trend – sexy and free. Although this trend may last another spring/summer, this Tencel off-the-shoulder top is worth the buy at $24.99 because you can mix and re-mix this top with different bottoms and colors.
Jersey Jumpsuit ($98): I have a couple jumpsuits and I love wearing them. They are elegant and effortless. This one in the navy color will last for years to come.
One Piece Swimsuit ($38): I’m a bikini kind of gal when it comes to swimsuits. But I love wearing the one-piece style when I need more coverage for that pool/beach day. This swimsuit is very sleek and sexy, and the affordable price makes it not so hard to whip out that wallet to get ready for summer.
Jelly Flip Flop ($49.95): Flip flops are essentials for summer. I love this pair of black and white jelly flip flop. They go with any outfit in/out of pool/beach.
Again, I didn’t spend every dime because I wanted to apply the balance of $23.04 to our July budget. Eventually, I’d like to invest in a statement bag, cashmere sweater, and/or premium denim.
Stay tuned for what is to come in July! Until then, have a great weekend, and I will see you on the blog next week.
