Merry Christmas!

You know,  as a Chinese immigrant, my family never really celebrated the Christmas tradition, only Chinese New Year.   So Christmas was never really that important to me until I met the love (my Italian descent husband) of my life.  Christmas since then has a whole different meaning to me now.  I’ve learned to appreciate the joy and value of family on this very special day.  And now that we have Chitalian twin boys in the picture, I make the effort to instill these traditions in our family.

Since the arrival of the boys, our holiday celebration with our families (especially on my side) is closer and more intimate.  This year is no exception.   It truly feels like a real Christmas celebration.  The boys are no longer crawling.  They are now walking (well, running for the most part), talking, and actually being able to stand up and point to the Christmas tree and say “trueee” with a smile.  They seemed to know how to appreciate it.

We will be watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” and cook the turkey that was frozen since Thanksgiving (a whole separate discussion here!)  How will you celebrate Christmas?

  2. Your boys are so cute. Did they enjoy Christmas? I have a 19 month old and he was fascinated with opening presents this year. He was so fun to watch.

Thank you. They loved Christmas and enjoyed playing with the wrappings more so than the presents. So funny!
