Happy Hump Day everyone!
I was really hoping to share some exciting photos from our recent Toronto visit with you but as nature had it the weather was awful. There was an ice storm (read the previous post here on how we survived it) so beautiful places that we wanted to visit like Casa Loma, Royal Ontario Museum, the Distillery District, Yorkville, St. Lawrence Market, and others were crossed off from the list. Instead, we spent the entire week with the family enjoying delicious food and hot chocolates.
The most exciting part of the trip was that it snowed on Christmas day. Yes, it was a White Christmas…our very first as a family! It was bone chilling cold which prevented us from going outside to play. The rattling of the iced branches from the iced trees did not help the situation either. The highlight of the Christmas celebration for the boys was opening the gifts. They ripped open not just their own gifts but also their cousins’.
We headed home the next day. It was actually the best time to travel because people were out shopping the day after Christmas so the airport was quite empty. The visit was short but it was bittersweet. I’m so glad that the boys got to meet and play with their cousins. All I can say is that we did spend a White Christmas on Christmas day and that these indoor pictures turned out better than expected. I have over two hundred pictures but I chose my favorite 5 to share with you.
