Hello everyone!  Happy Tuesday!!!

I’ve been an avid Mac Fluidline user since I first discovered it 8 years ago.  This product has been consistent in providing the precision of a liquid liner but with an ultra-smooth, silkier and softer finish.  The only cumbersome thing about this product is that I have to use a liner brush to apply and then have to clean the brush after.  I’ve been thinking about trying other products for replacement…you know the grass is greener…

A couple weeks ago while shopping at a drugstore this liquid liner from NYX caught my eye.  It was only $2.73 and according to the product description it would provide a long lasting, rich, creamy formula dries fast and stays put.  The tapered natural brush would give you the control to create precise ultra fine or dramatically old lines.  So I decided to give it a try.

Mama’s Take:

I must say I was not a big fan of this liquid liner at first.  I had the hardest time controlling the amount of liquid on the felt tip.  I couldn’t get the “wings” on both of my eyelids symmetrical…I guess it takes a lot of practice to achieve that?  My least favorite part of using this liquid liner is that the liquid would spill over on to my lashes.  When I tried to curl my lashes (I always do this step last) the curler would not grip the lashes to make curls.  So…I guess I have to curl my lashes first?

Well, this is quite a learning process for me.  Although the price is really good ($2.70) I think I will have to keep practicing before I can say bye bye to my $17.00 gel liner from Mac.  Would love to hear which liquid eyeliner works for you.
