I try to take care of myself as much as I could and that includes eating healthy, exercising regularly, and beauty upkeep. For whatever reason, when it comes to beauty maintenance I have a tendency to neglect the care of my feet. Although I do pedicures regularly, applying body cream or body lotion tends to stop at my ankles. That neglect has led to extremely dry cracked feet. I didn’t notice the dryness until a couple years ago. I’ve been searching for that miracle cream to rid the cracks but had no luck. Then AmLactin came knocking at my door. They sent me not only the Foot Cream that I really wanted to review but also the Hydrating Body Cream (Ultra) and Moisturizing body lotion.
The Claim:
AmLactin Alpha-Hydroxy Skin Care products contain emollients and humectants that help retain the skin’s natural moissture and draw water to the skin so it looks and feels soft and smooth. They are effective at exfoliating and hydrating the skin.
Mama’s Take:
I’ve been using these products for the past couple weeks and my body responded really well to both the Body Cream and Moisturizing Body Lotion. What I didn’t expect was my feet’s reaction to their Foot Cream. OMG…I noticed immediate result after just one application. 3 days and 6 applications later, I no longer have cracked scaly dry feet! The cream did more than softening my skin. It repaired and heeled the cracks! I now have smooth healthy looking feet and they are ready to take on Spring and Summer.
What I didn’t know is that the American Academy of Dermatology recommends using a lactic acid-based foot cream to repair your cracked heels and moisturize dry skin. The formula from AmLactin contains the lactic acids to provide optimal skin exfoliation and essential moisturizing. So it was no surprise that the podiatrists recommend AmLactin as the No. 1 moisturizing brand based on the Podiatry Management Annual Practice Survery. OK, you’ve convinced me…I need that foot cream! I’m not that good about my pedicures in the winter and this would be great to use between visits!

Love having soft feet! Another trick… put the lotion on before bed and then some socks. The socks lock in the moisture 🙂
