…Always Travel in Style
Hubby & I love to travel. Now that the boys are turning almost 3 we can travel more often than before. We try to take 2 vacations a year; one with the family, and the other just for the two of us. We just had a family vacation so the next vacation is on the horizon for me & hubby :)! As a matter of fact, hubby recently booked a weekend getaway in April for just the 2 of us. A place where we can sip wine, walk on the beach and enjoy beautiful architecture…our kind of fantasy getaway!
With that getaway about to present itself, my mind has been on what to pack. So when I came across Popsugar’s contest to write a blog post about a fantasy weekend getaway I jumped on the bandwagon to list 10 items that I must include for traveling. I always travel in style (at least I try to anyway) because for what it is worth you will be treated in the manner you present yourself. So with these 10 stylish items stash in this lovely overnight bag, they will make for a fail-safe plan whether you are traveling by plane, train, or automobile.
1. Cardigan
I love traveling with my cardigan because it provides style, coverage and warmth when needed. Throw in a neutral tone or a black like this the next time you travel, you will always looked put together.
2. Jeans
A good pair of jeans, preferrably the skinny, is something that I always pack for travel. They provide comfort and flatter your figure at the same time. Jeans can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Just like cardigans, they are perfect for looking pulled together while traveling.
3. Trench Coat
A neutral trench coat like this one is the best when traveling. It is very flexible and dependable. You can pair the trench with a pair of jeans or over a dress and stay stylish while traveling.
4. Wrap Dress
I love wrap dresses because they fit beautifully whether you gain or lose a few pounds. Every woman should have one in her closet. You can wear a wrap dress with flats, heels, over jeans/pants, layered underneath a cardigan or wear with boots along with tights. There really are very few places a wrap dress can’t take you.
5. Stripe Top
A nautical top is truly a classic. It is so versatile that you can pair with so many different items. They are stylish yet very comfortable which is a must for traveling.
You can never go wrong with packing a leather jacket. It keeps you warm or cool and I love the fact that it does not wrinkle when placed in your overnight bag. The beauty of a leather jacket is that it can cross over to all seasons.
7. Ballet Flats
You will always find me in ballet flats at the airport. It is easy to take off and put on at the security line. They are stylish while offer comfort at the same time. Ballet flats are the perfect shoes for traveling.
8. Scarf
Oversized scarf is your travel best friend. It keeps you warm as a wrap. It can be morphed into a pillow on the plane or blanket if needed. This is truely a multi-purpose accessory that you must have for your travel.
9. Nude Pumps
When it comes to choosing the perfect heels for travel nude is definitely the way to go. One of the best things about a pair of nude heels is that they match with everything, even black. They elongate your legs and they are appropriate for various settings.
10. Clutch
This handbag clutch is another multi-purpose accessory for travel. I can use it as a cosmetic bag to store my makeup as well as a night out bag for a chic look.

Now all you need is a pair of oversized sunglasses or aviators and you are all set for your trip! Bon Voyage!!!

I totally agree about the way you dress when you travel is the way you will be treated!!! I’m already planning my outfits for when we travel twice this fall, once in October and then in November. I’ll be wearing boyfriend jeans, my striped loafers, a simple white tee, statement necklace, cardigan and blazer and perhaps a scarf. I want to be fashionable yet comfortable. Love your list!!!
