Hello everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

I’m so happy to be back home from Boston. It was a much needed getaway from the boys but I missed them so much at the same time. Although the Boston rain did not dampen my travel plans it certainly prevented me from doing some sightseeing, not that I had any time to do so. My first day of arrival was pretty free and clear so I took up a dinner invitation from a few former colleagues. To make a long story short, it took us 2 hours to get to North End when we were only 20 minutes away…walking distance! Will have more about that dramatic adventure on an upcoming post!!!
As stated on my last week’s post about packing for the business trip, I was able to squeeze in a couple dresses with the anticipation of alfresco dining, and possibly strolling around Boston Common. One of the dresses that I had packed was this white shift dress. White is synonymous with summer, yet I have begun to wear white at the start of spring and sometimes throughout the year. I don’t follow rules when it comes to fashion. I wear based on my mood and how I feel that day.
I love wearing white dresses in spring and summer because the white color can complement or bring out your tan (faux or not) effortlessly. I know…they seem so prim, dainty or high-maintenance. But, what I love about LWD is that they know how to hold their own in the heat and can certainly navigate situations from casual to formal. Paired with a serious statement necklace, bracelet or scarf and you got yourself a kick-ass (pardon my French) ensemble. It’s the ultimate blank canvas with limitless options.

Janise, every woman needs a Little White Dress (or two). Yours is lovely. Way to edge it up with those stunning bootie-shoes. The floral pop of scarf was perfect with it.
I’d love for you to stop by and see my latest. I am feeling quite elegant in my last outfit.
Happy Cinco de Mayo. <3 Ada.

I hate it when what should be a short trip becomes ridiculously long, and I hate it when you have to travel in bad weather. But sometimes you just have to make the best of it. Love your little white dress, I can never get enough LWDs in my life.
I LOVE the white dress, and your scarf is too cute!

Gorgeous white dress and I love that you spiced it up with a bright, floral print scarf!
A little white dress is just as necessary as a LBD in any girl’s wardrobe I think! Love how you dressed it up and that bag is gorgeous!

What a great dress and bag!
You look stunning! I wish I could rock a white dress like this. Those shoes are amazing. What a gorgeous blog! Rachel xx
What an ensemble! You look fantastic. I love everything but in particular your bag looks really great next to the LWD. I always enjoy wearing white, it tends to brighten the mood a bit doesn’t it? Don’t have a LWD yet but I think I may have to purchase one soon!
Lovely combinations for your trip to a transitional climate! Pretty scarf, and mules that are melting my shoe-lovin’ little heart. So glad you had a great time, and that you’re home safely!
Such a great scarf to pair with the dress! And your shoes – gorgeous! Boston is such a great City, I think I said that before. Sorry you couldn’t sight see as much as you would have liked! Carylee | morepiecesofme.com
The LWD is always a perfect foil to showcase great accessories, and I love the simplicity of yours. You look lovely. I wear mine with black opaques in the winter – white is too clean and fresh to keep for summer only! Thanks for linking to #AllAboutYou! xx
