I hope your weekend was great.  Mine was quite intense.   There were 3 venues scheduled back to back in a 2 day period; a wedding, BBQ and a kid’s birthday party.  It didn’t help that I did not shop for the gifts until the very last minute.  I ended up attending 2 out of 3 due to time conflict.    I was invited to attend my friend’s daughter’s wedding.  Yes, I have officially entered into that stage of my life…attending my friends’ kids’ weddings.  The BBQ party was also scheduled on the same day/time as the wedding.  I thought I could make the BBQ after the wedding but it was late into the night so I decided not to go.  Last night, my sister and I took the boys to attend my friend’s kid’s party.  We had a blast!!!

I did not wear this outfit to any of these venues.  Although I thought about wearing this dress (with a tux blazer) for the casual wedding but I ended up wearing a strapless silk dress by Shoshanna instead.  You can view this dress here on Instagram.  But I did wear this outfit for a date night with hubby a few nights ago.    The ever so dependable denim jacket kept me warm the entire night.  We went to our favorite French restaurant for dinner and then headed to the Improv comedy club after.  It was a night full of laughter and love.  Along the way we stopped by this street in Hollywood to enjoy the fragrant plants and flowers.  This outing definitely prepared me for this intense but fun weekend.
