Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you had a fantastic Father’s Day celebration.

I wore this look over the weekend to celebrate Father’s day with hubby and the boys.  I initially wore my favorite skinnies, long sleeve striped top with heels but it was quite hot (summer came early) that I had to change into something more comfortable and breathable.  This dress fits the bill.  Although I’m a denim kind of girl but a lightweight dress, tote, sunnies and a pair of fabulous shoes are my definite summer uniform.

Shoes have become one of my favorite components to an outfit.  I love these rhinestone plaid mules that I bought a while ago and have forgotten about them until I recently re-organized my closet.  They were sitting in a box so it was out of sight out of mind.  I love the unexpected curvy heels and the shimmering of the crystals against the plaids, definitely a pair that I will be sporting a lot this fall if not this summer.

  1. Wow, those are some fabulous shoes. Love the whole look. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.

  2. Loving the animal print dress and python belt together and then the mules are an unexpected addition. And, it all works beautifully! Love your style. cherie at stylenudge.com

  3. Pretty combination of prints! Scale is everything, isn’t it? You look great in your mix, which is simultaneously exotic and subtle! Lovely.
I don’t wear animal print much, as I’m never sure if it makes the pressure on the real animals worse or relieves it. I just bought a python print shirt-dress, and love it so much that I hope it helps rather than harms!

  4. Those heels are def fab!! Love the waves in your hair too – how do you do it?!?

Thank you Jenna! I sprayed with sea salt texture hairspray and curled with a 1″ hot iron.
