I’m not a nail art kind of gal.  I love my nail polish to be simple and easy.  I wear either red or nude pink colors on my nails.  Lately, I’ve been venturing to different nail colors and it’s been fun.  Recently, I was asked by Modcloth to participate in their nail art challenge!  The challenge was to create a nail art design that captures the essence of a dress from their collection.

After hours of perusing through their website I selected this salsa dress as my inspiration.  I have to say, their dresses are unique and gorgeous, not to mention the affordability that makes them so appealing.   This salsa dress in particular inspires me to paint my nails in my favorite red nail color, Lollipop, and add some glitter to give some sparkles.  It’s super easy to achieve this look and here’s how I did it:

1. Paint your finger nail red. I used 1 coat of polish only.
2. Paint the tip of your nail with the OPI Which is Witch polish.
3. Paint over it with the Orly Color Blast in Crimson Glitter.
4. Finish the look with a clear top coat and that’s it!

What do you think?  I’m ready for some salsa dancing!

  1. I love this sparkly nail look, this would be great during the holiday season, too! It looks really easy, too. That dress is gorgeous, I am going to have to check out their site. I need a dress for a wedding.
