I’m considered a beauty skin care junkie. Although I love to review beauty products I’m also very selective. I love reviewing products that are organically made or contains no parabens or other artificial chemicals. Over a little over a month ago I was introduced to Skin Authority, a prestige skin care line chosen by beauty experts, celebrities, and the media for skin care performance that produces immediately visible results and continued improvement for a lifetime of healthy, radiant skin. They do no animal testing, contain no parabens, no added fragrances and no formaldehyde. The majority of their products are vegan and all are vegetarian.

Skin Authority has been featured as an Allure Beauty Editor Pick, Best New Product by Shape Magazine, and featured in numerous other publications including Elle, Good Housekeeping, People, and New Beauty. As the Healthy Skin Lifestyle Company, they specialize in skin coaching and provide complimentary skin consultation to determine which products would work best for you to address your skin concerns. Without hesitation I took up the offer to see what their products can do for my skin.

Like most women of my age (mid 40s) I was looking for a simple yet effective skin care routine that targets my frown lines and crow’s feet. I know I am getting older and naturally my frown lines and crow’s feet are more visible. However, I do want to look youthful so the less visible they are the better. After a thorough complimentary skin consultation with one of their skin care experts, I was recommended to use the following 4 products.

The Products:

The Claim:

DAILY CLEANSER ($42)

Antibacterial gel removes dirt, oil, and cell build-up while normalizing pH, leaving skin feeling celan, smoother, and ready for treatment.

AGE DEFYING MOISTURIZER SPF 18 FULL SPECTRUM ($60.50)

Dual action, anti-aging complex and SPF 18 Full Spectrum protection fortified with antioxidants, vitamins, and naturally hydrating extracts. It stimulates collagen production, helps protect skin cells against premature aging caused by photo damage & harsh environmental exposure. It also restores uneven complexion and inhibit future hyper pigmentation while providing full spectrum protection from UVA and UVB sun exposure.

DRAMATIC EYE LIFT WITH SGF-4 TECHNOLOGY™ ($134)

Exclusive protein-rich Skin Growth Factor technology concentrated to lift and tighten the delicate skin around the eyes. It reduces dark circles, tighten sagging eyelids, erase crow’s feet and promote healthy skin turn over.

NIGHT REVITALIZER ($57)

This non-greasy, multi-action formula exfoliates and moisturizes while you sleep to smooth the appearance of fine lines and dull looking skin while hydrating and stimulating the body’s natural cell turnover process. The ingredients included glycolic acid 8% and ph 3.9.

Mama’s Take:

Here’s my recommended daily routine:

AM:

1. Daily Cleanser. (a simple gel cleanser with a surface antibacterial effect when applied dry. Removes makeup, dirt, oil, etc. is gentle enough for use morning and night)

2. Dramatic Eye Lift. (as described below. Applied to entire eye area including eye lids. Manipulate in the direction that you would like for your eyes to be to assist in lifting and tightening benefits)

3. Age Defying Moisturizer SPF 18 Full Spectrum. (1 pump for entire face)

PM:

1. Daily Cleanser. (same as above)

2. Night Revitalizer. (doubles as an evening resurfacing agent and moisturizer. It will allow for better product penetration of everything that you are using and expose bright, glowing skin)

I followed the recommended beauty regimen religiously for 3 weeks. At first I was getting a bit anxious because I didn’t see the results I was looking for. The 5 days later I noticed a difference on my skin. My frown lines and crow’s feet are not as visible. Don’t get me wrong they are still there but the big difference is when I applied my foundation…the lines literally disappeared!!! My skin also feels soft and supple 24/7, especially in the mornings. I love all the products but the Night Revitalizer & the Dramatic Eye Lift serum are my favorites. I think the eye lift serum is a bit pricey but it’s so worth it because it really does diminish saggy eyelids (at least it did for me!). This is another set of products that is on my list to continue using.
