Happy Monday everyone!

Juggling a full-time career and family is not easy, add blogging to the mix makes things even more challenging. My kids are older and they need more attention (not that I haven’t been giving to them in the past) and I want to spend as much time with them as I can.  They are going to pre-school next year!!!

I’ve often get asked where the heck do I find the time to blog. Well, I don’t.  I don’t blog until 9/10pm after the kids are in bed and I don’t go to sleep until midnight the earliest. I’m up by 6 or 7 am the next day to start my work day. I’m with the boys all weekend while hubby works.

So, starting this month I have decided to scale down my busy schedule so that I can spend more time with my kids and hubby.  I also want to re-energize to focus on creating better but meaningful content for the blog.  Change is scary and no one likes it.  I’m one of the very few who does.  I think changes can improve everything in your life because that can lead to progress, opportunities and experiences.  A change for this blog will hopefully make it more interesting.  With that, here’s what to expect on a weekly basis starting today!

Monday: Where I share my outfit of the week. This will also include any date night style that I used to post on Thursdays. Of course, if you want to glimpse what I wear on other days you can follow me on instagram.

Tuesday: Where I share my beauty tips and product reviews known as BeautyBuzz.

Wednesday: Where I share anything that inspires me like style, decor, food, quotes and more.

Thursday: Where I share posts from fellow guest bloggers or sponsors. I consider this as my time off and give the spotlight to others. **Bloggers: if you want to feature your blog here please go here and contact me with the subject “guest blogging” and I will send you more info.**  My current Alexa ranking is 283,322 in the world and 62,315 in U.S.  I can help you get your Alexa ranking lower by linking to my blog.

Friday: Where I share my chic & affordable finds for the week all under $100.

To kick start this new change here’s my outfit of the week!

  1. So, so pretty and chic – and the shoes are amazing. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday! xo

  2. I always give a ton of credit to those who have full time jobs, kids and can still find the time to blog, which always feels like a full time job as well.

Love the leather jacket and the red heels – so gorgeous!

  3. As a mom of three completely relate to your struggles of balancing kids, activities, and blogging. Your editorial calendar looks great, so does your outfit!! I love the jacket, it’s gorgeous and Chanel bag & red shoes- SO GLAM!! Happy Monday, XOXO, Elif

  4. You are so gorgeous Janise! Love this outfit! I totally get scaling back. I’m also in the process of doing the same thing. It’s so hard to juggle everything!! Have a great week!

  5. This outfit is all kinds of fabulous! Those shoes! And I totally understand needing to pare things down – you’ve got a lot going on!

  6. It is so hard to be a mom, work and blog! I actually stopped working last February, so that I could be more focused on my kids (and they are in school all day) and at home and I still don’t have a lot of time to blog. I have thought about cutting my posts down to 3 a week. I love that you are sharing your changes and ideas with us. I just love that jacket, necklace, purse and ohhh that pop of red from your shoes!! Beautiful!

Thank you for your support Carrie! It’s hard and we don’t want to whine about it because we are “the mom” and we take care of our family 🙂

  7. Kudos to you on prioritizing your family and life. I have been struggling with this same thing recently, and have totally put blogging on the back burner. While it’s such a fun thing to do, it’s hard to commit to something when everything else takes precedent. In any case, love this look and especially the red heels!

  8. You do well to post something each week day! I love your look here. The black leather jacket with the grey underneath plus the gorgeous red sandals. The whole look is classy and sophisticated. You look fantastic!

  9. YES!! Good for you Janise. Ugh…I write this while it is 2 am and I’ve been working on the blog since 10! I’ll also be up tomorrow at 6 …oh dear!

I don’t know why/how we do this to ourselves, but obviously there is a lot of passion involved. I think your new commitment to your family and trying to find time to blog while not over doing it sounds great.

And you know what else is great? THOSE HEELS! you look fabulous lady. I wanted to invite you to join my new linkup dedicated to real mom street style. It is open all week and starts on Tuesdays so there is no rush.

    All the best:)

  10. I hear ya – I am same with blogging after my son goes to bed. I use Sat/Sun to write up my post for the week otherwise, I don’t think I can do it. I have scaled back on the number of posts I do each week to focus on family & friends.

Glad to hear that you are focusing more on you family!

Gorgeous outfit and I hope you will stop by and join TBT Fashion link up – it’s up on the blog now.

This is so true – you just can’t do it all, and I think your schedule is still packed blog-wise! Great changes, enjoy your family time! xx

  12. Fabulous outfit! The coolest! And yes, balance is a difficult thing. Even without children, being a full time teacher, pet mommy, wife, friend, etc … it’s hard to fit blogging into the schedule. I have no idea how you do it with kids too! You rock!
