Frittata with Fresh Figs
I didn’t have a chance to make last week’s simple indulgence. Instead, I did some retail therapy and hung out with my friends and my sister on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in the rain without an umbrella or rain boots. Yes, it was raining when we left but we didn’t think it would rain the entire day!
We started the day with some shoe shopping at Barneys then stopped by Fred’s (upstairs) for brunch. I had the best Frittata (Italian style omelette) ever! The Frittata (I asked for egg white instead) came with fresh figs, smoked bacon and blue cheese – all from local sustainable farms. I’m not a cheese person but that blue cheese really made a huge difference!
We stopped by Chanel after to look at bags, bags, and bags! I think we touched and tried every handbag that was available at the store. We ended the day by stopping at Sprinkles – famous for cupcakes. Warning – long lines with inefficient and chaotic service but the cupcakes are so worth it.
Needless to say, we all had a blast laughing and giggling the entire time while running away from the rain in a 4 block radius. My indulgence wasn’t just the Frittata but also the company.
Until next week, I will see you on the blog. Have a great weekend everyone!
