Beauty Buzz: Meet Jane Cosmetics

Heard of Jane Cosmetics?  Yup, that drugstore brand back in the 90s.  I still remember the taupe eyeshadow I bought back then.  I tossed the darn thing after a couple times of using it.  The quality was awful; the shadow easily creased and flaked off after each application.  Needless to say, I haven’t bat an eye on Jane Cosmetics since.

So, when I was approached to review and try the newly revived Jane Cosmetics I thought I should give it a try. After all, everyone deserves a second chance.  I immediately opened the box upon its arrival and my eyes darted at a shimmer taupe eye shadow bundled with blushes, bronzers, eyeliners, etc.  I couldn’t control myself from opening the lid for the shimmer taupe eye shadow to do a test swipe.

To my surprise, the texture felt silky and smooth.  I swiped it on my left eye and the color did not flake off.  Wow, times have changed.  Quality greatly improved but the prices are still affordable!  They really DID revive Jane…gold bless them!  Take a look at these goodies here and you will swoon like me!  Not only do they sell quality products but for every item sold, they will donate one equal beauty product to a local women’s shelter.  If you want to physically test their products you can visit your local Ulta store here and look for the Jane Cosmetics beauty counter.

I don’t wear a lot of makeup but I have been experimenting with smokey eyes and eye liners lately.  My favorites out of these goodies from Jane Cosmetics would have to be the eyeshadows, stain-gloss lipsticks (smell delicious) and the eye liners (I can actually line my cat eye perfectly).  I now want to own every item Jane Cosmetics have to offer, taupe eyeshadow included!
