As I was flipping through the Glamour magazine last week during my tea break I came across a picture of Victoria Beckham. I have always admired her style but it wasn’t her outfit that caught my eye. For some reason, I was mesmerized by her headshot and couldn’t figure out why. Maybe because of those beautiful freckles. Or, could be because of those smokey eyes with those dusty pink nude lips. Regardless, I developed a girl crush on her and I wanted to recreate that look for my next date night with hubby!
Coincidentally, Revlon® & Walgreen’s team contacted me to participate on another Revlon campaign, Revlon®’s August Beauty Must Haves Event at Walgreens, specifically on their iconic and best-selling Super Lustrous, and Revlon® Ultra HD, their newest line of lipsticks and glosses with wax-free technology for true color clarity.
Being a huge fan of Revlon’s makeup the collaboration would be seamless for me. Inspired by this fall’s runway look of jewel tones and glamour, which is all about rich, bold shades, I was asked to produce a blog post highlighting a fabulous, fall look with Revlon® Super Lustrous® Lipsticks, available in four irresistible finishes: Creme, Pearl, Matte and Shine.
When they sent me the Revlon® Super Lustrous® Lipstick in Pearl Champagne on Ice and Revlon® Super Lustrous® Lipgloss in Rosy Future, I knew I found the partial ingredients to re-create Victoria’s look. Both the lipstick and the lipgloss were exactly what I was looking for! With that, I did not hesitate in getting ready for our #LoveIsOn date night with hubby.
Here’s how I achieved this look.
- Prepped my face with a good moisturizer then applied CC cream mixed with Botanics 100% Organic Facial Oil to cover any imperfections.
- My eyes were next. To achieve the smokey eyelook, I used a champagne eyeshadow all over my lid, then blended with a dark brown color from crease to lash lines. I used a Q-tip and lightly smudged the dark shadow at the crease and along bottom lashes.
- Once the color was in place, I defined my eye with a creamy black eye pencil. Dragged it along top and bottom lash lines, and lined my inner bottom lash line. Can’t have smokey eye without lush lashes so mascara was a must to seal the smokey eye look!
- Moving on to my cheeks. I applied the Revlon® Peach Glow bronzer on my cheeks to get that subtle glow since I only wanted to focus on my eyes and lips.
- To complete the look I applied Revlon® Super Lustrous® Lipstick in Champagne on Ice on my lips and topped with Revlon® Super Lustrous® Lipgloss in Rosy Future.
Voila, my Victoria look! Well, although I did not look like a Victoria twin but I think the lipstick and the lipgloss nailed the look I was going for. What do you think?
