Welcome to the Get to Know series where each week I introduce a new blogger behind him/her blog with Q&A’s – with personal revealing results. Check back on Wednesdays for your weekly peek behind the blog left slightly ajar. This week I’m featuring Angela Taylor from The Thrifty Pineapple, a place showcases fashion and frills at good deals that gives women inspiration to look fabulous without spending the big bucks – LOVE it!
Blog Name: The Thrifty Pineapple
Your Name: Angela Taylor
Years of blogging: Less than a year (Since January 2015) – It was my new years resolution
What is your blog about?
The Thrifty Pineapple is about women’s fashion. The Thrifty Pineapple showcases fashion and frills at good deals. It gives women inspiration to look fabulous without spending the big bucks.
How often do you blog?
I blog once a week, if I am feeling crazy twice a week
Best compliment you have received?
The biggest compliment I’ve received is when I was recently in a store shopping and taking pictures, one of the sales girls came up to me and told me she was inspired by me to create her own blog. She said she loved reading my blog and wanted to do something similar. I was taken back because I consider myself relatively new to blogging world and for her to come up and say, it was a major compliment. It felt so good for her to tell me that she sees me as inspiration, it really help me see that 1. People actually do read my blog. 2. That I am making a difference. That one compliment makes it all worth it.
If you could be any age for a week, what age would that be and why?
If I could be one age for a week, I would be the same age I am right now. I am currently 22 and I feel like I am in the prime of my life. I truly know who I am and I’m comfortable with myself, my friends, my family and my job. I’m still so young and have so much life ahead of me. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Sure I’ve made mistakes but I wouldn’t be where I am today without making them and learning from them.
If you could spend the day with any celebrity, who would it be?
If I could spend the day with any celebrity I would choose Lauren Conrad. She has the most put together effortless style. She is the perfect example of a strong women entrepreneur and I feel like I could learn so much from her even in 24 hours. And duh, it’s LC…
If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?
If I could retire tomorrow I would spend my days blogging, shopping and teaching dance. This is a great mix of all the things I do now minus my full time job and there wouldn’t be any pressure. Since I have a full time job and blogging is just a hobby for me. I could find time to write more than one post a week and really work on perfecting things. And shopping because… why not? I would also have leisure of teaching dance freely. I currently teach dance as a side job because I love enriching kids in the art of dance, but I only have time to teach 3 classes a week because of my schedule. If I was retired I could spend time diving into the things in life that I get the most out of.
Your dream vacation? Worst vacation? Best vacation?
My dream vacation would be anywhere on an island beach. Since I’m busy all the time it would be nice to just sit back not worry about time or work or anything. I could relax on the beach with a drink in hand soaking up the sun… with SPF on of course!
