Fringe has been making my heart melt lately.  Partly because it makes me feel young and playful, but mostly because they are SO EFFIN’ CUTE!  When I spotted this midi fringe sweater dress I wasn’t sure if it would fit my petite frame.  I loved the stripes, the knit and mostly the fringe but I wasn’t too keen on the bodycon fit.  Hey, I’m a mom and there are boundaries when it comes to form fitting clothes!

I ordered the dress anyway because I couldn’t resist the playful fringe hem.  Of course, the price of $70 made it easy to pull the trigger!  Luckily, the fringe hem hits my mid-calf instead of my ankles so I guess you can say it’s a perfect midi fit!  To give some edge and more playful feel to the outfit I completed the look with a leather moto jacket, leather fringe clutch, and open toe sandals – it’s only 70s here in LA so yes we can technically still wear sandals 🙂 .  The fringe trend may be a temporary fashion tick but for now it gives my heart a few palpitations, and sometimes that’s all I need to get through those somber fall days!
