I hope you had a great 2015 celebration. I’m glad 2015 is over. I have to admit, it’s been a bumpy ride for us. Although the year 2015 started out with a bang and ended with a bang, we went through some unexpected events that took us by surprise.
It started with a flood in our family room, which caused us to tear down all four walls as well as replacing new carpet. A week later, our eavesdrops came tumbling down so we had to replace them as well. While replacing the eavesdrops we found termite droppings so we had to spray the house. A few months later we had a major plumbing issue which caused us to replace the entire pipeline for the house. When all these events were settled in late October I had a job change in November.
So, I’m really glad that 2015 is over!
A new year comes with some new changes. As mentioned previously, you will see more of my work outfits as opposed to my casual wear. I will do my best to share the out of the office duty looks as much as I can so look out for these occasional posts on the blog.
This outfit is one of the typical office looks that I’ve been sporting. I used to wear a lot of suits back in the day. I think you can still pull off that office look without trying too hard. One of the things that I love wearing now is slacks like these from JCrew. They are versatile and comfortable while maintaining that office appropriate look.
I do hope you will enjoy this new change as much as I do. I also hope that year 2016 won’t be as bumpy as 2015 because we sure do need a break!
