Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend.  I took the twins to Redondo Beach and met up with some friends for seafood and Mariachi music.  Although the food was overpriced and mediocre while the service was terrible and chaotic, the company was the highlight of our outing.

Nine years ago this month I made a decision that changed my life forever.  I took a trip thousands of miles away from home to find myself.  Instead, I found love.  Or, love found me.  I wasn’t looking at the time, not the least but somehow love found me and knocked me sideways.  Three years later I married my love.  A year after that we had twin boys.

I have often wondered what my life would be like had I not taken that trip.  Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE my life.  I have a loving, goofy family – wonderful, supportive husband and two boisterous twin boys.  At times I have to keep reminding myself that I have a tremendous amount to be appreciative and grateful for – a loving family, wonderful and loyal friends, health, and an enjoyable demanding career.  Everything else is icing on the cake.

This week I’m sharing an outfit that I wore last week for work and dinner after.  I don’t wear yellow often because it is a really loud color!  You can mix yellow with some primary colors if you want to go for that bold look.  But, I personally prefer to pair it with a neutral color to balance out the outfit.  The blazer and dress are quite old but I was able to locate some similar styles that are affordable.

Outfit Details:

DVF Dress (old, similar style)
Zara Blazer (old, similar style)
JCrew  Roxie Pumps
Saint Laurent Bag (old, similar style)
Coach Boyfriend Watch

  1. I personally love yellow and think you look fab in it. Congratulations on those wonderful nine years. My own story is very similar but my travels took me to the island where I found my husband and set up home, only it was 38 years ago! I bless the day I found him and made this life here, resulting in my two grown-up children. Lovely to meet you x
