There’s no denying that I love jewelry.  Big or small, they come in different packages.  I love them all equally.

My latest jewelry collaboration is probably the most interesting and intriguing.  This piece of art was inspired by a portrait, with a unique story behind it, which was made into a film called The Woman in Gold starring Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds.

I’m referring to this beautiful necklace from Deep Statement called Adele I in Warm Chalcedony.  This unique necklace was inspired by Gustav Klimt’s Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer.  To make a long story short, this was one of the two paintings of Adele Bloch-Bauer that was part of one of the biggest Nazi-looted art restitution cases in history.

This painting is now on display at the Neue Galerie in New York City.  Which reminds me, I will be in NYC in a few weeks and should stop by the Neue to take a peek!

In case you have not heard of Deep Statement, they focus on luxurious materials such as horn, wood, pearls, amethysts and other gemstones.  They draw their inspiration from fine art like Botticelli and Warhol to create beautiful meaningful jewelry.  Each necklace is hand-crafted from authentic luxurious materials but tells the story of the visual arts.

I know this necklace will accompany me to a lot of venues, and I’m sure it will spark many conversations at these settings.

If you love fine art and love wearing unique jewelry, then I highly recommend Deep Statement.  They are located in Dublin and Kilkenny, Ireland.  They ship worldwide and offer free shipping to the European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, San Marino, The United States and Canada.
