We don’t have the perfect relationship, but we certainly try to maintain a healthy one. For us, date night is one of the efforts in maintaining our solid relationship. Because if you want to keep love alive, you have to maintain and work at it. Nonstop, and it never ends.
To keep the flame going, we try to have a date night once a month. But it’s not easy. You know, balancing our work, kids, and everything else thrown at us.
But when we do we try to savor every moment.
We need these moments of stepping away from our everyday routine because by doing so we give ourselves perspective and appreciation for what is going well. But most importantly, awareness of our relationship – who we are and what we want.
You don’t have to spend an exorbitant amount of money to have a date night. One of our best date night experiences was simply catching a movie and coffee after – affordable, fun and relaxing.
Here’s a list of cheap and fun date ideas that both hubby and I are thinking about tackling it, and you can too.
