As you all know, I’m a beauty junkie. I’m more than willing to try any new products that would benefit my hyper sensitive skin, especially when it can diminish fine lines while providing that radiant glow. Good, bad, or otherwise, I share my experiences with you.
Two products that I recently had the pleasure of testing and wearing are the Super Line Preventor Overnight Radiance Cream and Super Line Preventor Xtreme Serum by Prescriptives.
When I hear Prescriptives I think of customized foundation and their Calyx fragrance (remember that?). Yes, the company has been around since 1979. In 1985, they launched their Super Line Preventor XTreme. In celebrating 30 years of igniting passion among beauty consumers, they launched their Super Line Preventor Overnight Radiance Cream in September 2016.
Here are their claim and my take on these Ophthalmologist tests, non-acnegenic, oil free products.
The Claim:
Super Line Preventor XTreme Serum ($84.00 for 1.7 oz):
This serum holds one hundred percent times its weight in water. It binds moisture to the skin, ensuring a smooth and long-lasting makeup application. It also helps strengthen skin and boost its natural defenses, by helping skin bolster its collagen production to improve visible skin tone and radiance. Skin looks stronger, smoother, and one step ahead of environmental assaults. Boosts skin’s moisture level by up to 71% and amplifies skin’s radiance by up to 35%. In Lab after 8 weeks of continuous use, it diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles by up to 54%, improves visible firmness by up to 37%, and increases skin’s smoothness by up to 45%.
Super Line Preventor Overnight Radiance Cream ($64 for 1.7 oz):
This new age-defying night cream goes to work while you sleep. Over time, it helps to reduce the look of aging – smoothing the look of fine lines and pores, helping to even skin tone, plumping skin with moisture and restoring a youthful glow. So you wake up to skin that looks refreshed, radiant, refined and plumped with moisture. Immediate measurable improvement in moisturization, radiance, pore size. After 4 to 8 weeks, additional measurable improvement in firmness, smoothness, lines and wrinkles, skin tone, age spots, radiance, barrier strength, and texture.
My Take:
Let’s start with Super Line Preventor XTreme. I’ve been using this product for a little over 1 week as part of my daytime and nighttime routines. When I wake up first thing in the morning, I apply this product first and let it sit for a minute, followed by coconut oil and RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 In 1 Daily Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30. I love how this serum feels on my skin – dewy and smooth.
Right before bedtime, I use Super Line Preventor XTreme and Super Line Preventor Overnight Radiance Cream as part of my nighttime routine. First, I apply the Super Line Preventor XTreme serum and let it sit for a minute or so, followed by coconut oil and then the Super Line Preventor Overnight Radiance Cream. My skin immediately feels hydrated and smooth.
My takeaway from these two products is that it doesn’t take 8 weeks to notice improvements on my skin. For me, it took as little as 1 week to start noticing some improvement. It could be a combination of using other skincare products. Whatever the case, I love the results I’m seeing so far.
