Welcome to my monthly series called $200 Clothing Budget.  A lot of people think you have to spend a lot of money to look like a million bucks.  Well, you don’t and I can show you how.

Last month, after purchasing three high-quality pieces for less than $200, we had $31.12 left.  We are adding this amount to our February’s budget.  So, for this month we have a total of $231.12 to spend.

After perusing the internet, and of course visiting my favorite online shops, I found a few more items that were way less than expected.  Here are the gems for February.

For less than $125, these three pieces are stylish, classic, and timeless.  The best part is, you can mix these pieces with the pieces we had purchased in January.  Remember, we want a cohesive wardrobe that we can mix and match throughout the year and possibly more.

The Little White Dress ($44.97):  I love white dresses.  They are ethereal and classy.  This one, in particular, caught my eye.  The cut is very flattering and I can see this item transformed into so many different outfits.   You can wear this to work by adding a blazer, to a cocktail party with some nice pumps, or to brunch with friends by adding this denim jacket shown here.

Pinstripe Cotton Blouse ($19.99):  This one is definitely a classic.  I have bought this shirt a couple weeks ago.  I absolutely love it.  I have worn it with navy trousers for work and distressed denim for brunch with the family.

Denim Jacket ($49.00):  If you are shopping for a denim jacket that will never go out of style, then this would be it.  I have a similar one and I take it out every spring/summer for the past eight years.  This jacket goes with everything!

Again, I didn’t spend every dime because I wanted to apply the balance of $106.90 to our March budget so that we have more to spend!clothing budget

Stay tuned for what is to come in March!  Until then, have a great weekend, and I will see you on the blog next week.
