SUMMER OUTFIT #2
For the WHAT to WEAR WHERE series, I’m sharing outfit #2 for a summer BBQ. I know you naturally think of shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops when you think of a BBQ party. Why not amp up your look and stand out in a sea of t-shirts and shorts by donning an outfit that would allow for a little more romping around, like a dress. You also want to stick with platform or block shoes that won’t sink in the ground.
As mentioned in the previous post, my hope is that through this series you can locate the outfits easier, faster, and cheaper while looking stylish and polished. I perused the web and located some fabulous dresses that are stylish enough to strike up a conversation for your next BBQ party.
STYLING TIPS
You want to look stylish yet comfortable while you take a bite of that burger. Since the evening will involve lots of eating with BBQ sauces flying around, stick with dresses that are made of cotton and can easily be thrown into the washer. Stay away from silk…stains are hard to come off!

Thank you, Patti. This dress is quite comfortable too 🙂
What a lovely dress and great tips too. I am a dress lover and therefor often the one standing out in a crowd of T-shirts and shorts in summer, like you describe here. I just feel very comfortable in dresses and if you wear practical shoes, like the beauties you show on your blog, you will be both comfortable and totally classy. The stripes fit the summer theme and work wonders for petites. Thanks for the inspiration.
