I don’t like to pile on the makeup. It just makes me look a lot older than I’d like. There’s also another reason. I don’t know how to apply makeup that well. Sure, I know how to pile on basics like foundations, blush, and lipsticks. But when it comes to eye makeup it can be a daunting task for me. My eye makeup always ends up looking uneven. So, I usually do a liner and mascara instead.
A couple weeks ago Avon sent me a box of their latest collaboration with Project Runway. This box came with makeup and step by step make instructions. For someone like me, that box was perfect! The entire makeup look was created by their Lead Makeup Artist Hector Simancas and he outlined step by step on how to apply the makeup to achieve the same look as showcased on Project Runway.
A few days ago Avon sent me another box. This time the look is created for the Project Runway Episode 7 – Wine Stained Lips.
Here are the instructions on how to achieve this look:
STEP 1
Apply True Color Eyeshadow Single in Beige to entire lid and Black Brown blended into the crease.
STEP 2
Apply thin line of True Color SuperExtend Precise Liquid Pen in Black to upper lash line.
STEP 3
Line lips with True Color Glimmersticks Lip Liner in Chocolate.
STEP 4
Apply True Color Lipstick in Oxford Wine to lips.
STEP 5
Apply True Color Lipstick in Cherry Jubilee to the center of lips and blend outward.
My face on the photo above was prepped with foundation and mascara. I followed all the steps and here’s the result:
