My latest beauty craze is Tom Ford’s Bruised Plum lipstick.  This is by far one of my favorite plum/berry lipsticks.  For years and throughout this blog, I used YSL Rouge Volupte #12 Forbidden Burgundy but sadly it was discontinued.  I still have this lipstick but it requires a lip brush to apply.  I’ve been searching high and low for a replacement.

A few months ago, I stopped by Nordstrom to shop for another lipstick.  I found Tom Ford’s Bruised Plum lipstick as a replacement but it was sold out.  I ended up getting this one instead but I kept thinking about the Bruised Plum color.

So, a few weeks ago when I went back to Nordstrom to get my foundation I decided to get the lipstick.  Well, according to their database there was one left.  To make a long story short, I found the last Bruised Plum lipstick buried with other lipsticks after three people from Nordstrom had ransacked the entire Tom Ford beauty counter for 30 minutes.

Needless to say, this is a very special lipstick to me.  I’ve been getting a lot of compliments wearing it ever since.  So what do I think of this lipstick so far?  Here’s my no-holds-barred review…

tom ford lipsticIt is…Tom Ford Lip Color in Bruised Plum ($54), a high-pigment, satin lipstick with the power to define a woman’s whole look.

It claims to…deliver pure full-coverage color with just the right balance of luminosity.  It amplifies individuality with maximum, long-wearing impact.

It is formulated...with rare and exotic ingredients including soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter, and chamomilla flower oil come together to achieve Lip Color’s ultra-creamy texture and incredibly smooth application.

The color is…Bruised Plum,  a berry vampy shade.

My lips looked… full and hydrated.

I have been…wearing this lipstick nonstop since I bought it.  The berry shade is perfect for fall/winter.   In my opinion, they are expensive but worth it. The lipstick feels so good on the lips and doesn’t wear off as easily as some others.
