love your ageI’m thrilled to share my latest favorite read,  Love Your Age: The Small-Step Solution to a Better, Longer, Happier Life by Barbara Hannah Gurfferman.

I’m entering a phase where I need to be as healthy as possible, mentally and physically.  This is also a time to consider what changes I would like to make as I look at myself and my circumstances.  Clearly, I’m no longer in my twenties in a physical sense but I still feel like I’m in my twenties in every way.

Needless to say, I could use some turn-by-turn directions and Barbara’s Love Your Age book couldn’t have come at a better time.  The minute I received the book I couldn’t put it down. Page after page  I was mesmerized with tips on living a healthy vibrant life, especially for women entering menopause.

After reading Chapter 5, Menopause, the Magical Mystery Tour, a lot of things started to make sense to me. Some of the symptoms that I have been experiencing  (still do at times) now feel normal because they are a process of aging and I’m entering a new phase.  And you know what?  I’m going to embrace and face them fearlessly.

Chapter 10, Get Smart About Your Skin, is one of my favorite chapters because I’m a skincare junkie.  This is a chapter that every woman of every age should read.  I have a pretty good relationship with my skin and have been protecting it since my teens.  This chapter confirmed that what I have been doing with my skin was on target.  But you are not late in the game if you are starting now because there are some great tips that Barbara shares from this chapter that can still help your skin to be at its best.

Barbara shares her beauty tips from saving your skin to getting in a tip-top shape by using the right ingredients and products that suit your skin.  For instance, there are five tried-and-true powerhouse ingredients like Retinoids, Hyaluronic acid, Ceramides, Peptides, and Antioxidants that really deliver the goods to your skin.

Barbara’s Love Your Age book is a one-stop shop for beauty, health, and fitness for every woman, especially if she’s entering her prime age.  Everyone’s life is a journey, and we learn as we go, applying the lessons and doing our best as we move forward.  The good news is we can observe and learn from Barbara to help us build the good habits that will serve us for a long, lovely life that would bring us health, stamina, energy, confidence, and joy while changing the ones that don’t.

I highly recommend this book so grab yours now here before it is sold out!  Barbara also blogs at www.BarbaraHannahGrufferman.com and both of us are members of Fashion Flash, an online group of women bloggers covering beauty, fashion, fitness, lifestyle, and travel.  We do a link roundup every Monday and Cindy from Prime Beauty Blog is hosting this week’s roundup.
