Welcome to the Living in Los Angeles monthly series where I write a short recap of the high’s and low’s of living in Los Angeles each month.

The April weather in Los Angeles typically hovers between 52°F to 70°F .  However, it’s been feeling like 78°F to 90°F on most days feeling more like summer than spring.

April has been a hectic month but very exciting one.  I had to travel for work again but my social calendar was quite busy.   Here’s how we survived April in strides!

NEW GATE

Owning a home has its pros and cons.  One of the cons is the constant upkeep, which can cost a lot of money.  Our latest project is replacing the side gate.  The old gate was made out of wood and it was infested with termite.  We have not had a chance to get that replaced until a couple weeks ago.  We decided to put in an iron gate so that it will match the outside decor of the house while not worrying about termites eating the door away.

WALDORF ASTORIA ROOFTOP
living in los angeles

I met up with some blogger friends for brunch at Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills.  Thanks to Instagram we were able to connect based on our similar interests.

The Waldorf Astoria rooftop is drop dead gorgeous.  No matter where you sit you there is a view.    This place is a bit pricey but it is a must experience place if you want to indulge a little bit.

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN

We rented and watched The Greatest Showman.  I thought the acting was great,  the music was beautiful, and the choreography was fabulous.   This is a family PG-rated musical movie that the entire family can watch and enjoy without worrying about covering their ears or eyes.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

My twins turned 7 last week and we celebrated their birthday at home with the family.  We didn’t have a big party like we did last year.  Instead, we went to one of our friends’ daughter’s birthday party instead.  The twins had a blast from playing in the jumper to eating cotton candy.

Until then, our next adventures await!
