The stripes trend is not really a trend. Rather, it is a style that has stood the test of time. You can never ever go wrong with wearing stripes because they are basically neutrals. My Breton is my go-to item for traveling, playground, and everything else in-between.
In my opinion, every woman should own a striped garment because stripes are an epitome of classic chic.
Lately, there’s been a lot of stripes introduced to the runway, fashion magazines, and social media – and they are BOLD! But don’t shy away from color when it comes to stripes. You can have so much fun looking like a stylish French girl with a twist.
Here are a few ways that I follow religiously when it comes to styling this colorful bold stripes trend.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
I love adding some classic sandals to a boldly striped dress and finish it off with a textured bag for added flair like this outfit here.
STRIPES ON STRIPES
Similar to the florals on florals matching outfit try to pile stripes on stripes like a colorful big striped tee and classic tailored trousers in smaller stripes.
GO REALLY BOLD
Choose a bright and bold top but keep it simple with a pair of jeans and add a pop of colorful pumps to complete the look. You can also pair a brightly striped midi-skirt with a classic and simple camisole or t-shirt.
Remember, fashion is meant to have fun and not full of stress. So go ahead and add a little punch to your wardrobe this summer by incorporating this bold style. My rule of thumb is that if you feel good and confident before heading out the door then that is all that matters. Afterall, it is ourselves that we need to please and no one else.
