The Fierce Connection is coming! Before I share my exciting news with you I wanted to take a moment to thank Lily Lark for providing these beautiful UV protected sun parasols for our photo shoot. Lisa Selwitz, the founder of Lily Lark was aged out of her job and decided to launch her own company (my kind of woman). These handmade parasols are like artwork with the highest quality and care that protect from over 98% of damaging UV rays of the sun.
As you all are aware I can’t walk out the door without SPF but that would only cover my face and body. We forget that the sun rays can go through our hair to our scalp. Although we can wear a hat to protect our head and face from the sun, it can mess up our hair. Let’s face it, you spent all morning getting your hair to look its best and a hat can put all of that work to waste.
I chose the Denim Beads parasol for the shoot because I love the subtle print. It’s like an oil painting on canvas with little dabs of paint in a seemingly abstract pattern. I love how the creams and golds are sprinkled across a dark blue background in swirls that feel very regal. I can see myself using this parasol for any outdoor venues from shopping at a farmers market to an outdoor wedding. This is not the only design Lily Lark carries. She has other beautiful designs that Catherine, Rachel, and Jacqueline are carrying in this photo from the floral collection.
This leads me to share why there are four of us in this photo. I’m extremely excited to share an upcoming collaboration with my blogging sisters, Catherine of CatherineGraceO, Rachel of Perennial Chic, and Jacqueline of Yellow Brick Runway. Catherine believes that all ages are to be celebrated and cherished. Her blog is dedicated to fashion and them any women who share her passion for beautiful design. Rachel started her own business, the Perennial Chic, after 40 sharing things that inspire her. Jacqueline started her modeling career at 38 and she’s going stronger than most models who are half her age. I met Catherine at an event in New York City back in May and we clicked right away. I met Rachel and Jacqueline through Catherine.
We all have one thing in common – never let our age define us. We are fierce and fly high and never be under the radar because of our age.
