Yellow is arguably the most radiantly color of all. It evokes happiness, optimism, sunshine, and enlightenment. I love injecting this golden hue to my fall wardrobe because it naturally brightens up the brown palette.
I mentioned a few times here on the blog where I used to shy away from this color because it would wash me out due to my olive skin tone. But the color yellow comes in many different shades and through trial and error, I have learned that bright and vibrant yellows can make my type of skin glow.
Given that this color is so bright and shiny how do you wear this color so you don’t look like a walking shiny non-eco-friendly light bulb? You can take a look at the color wheel to see what colors this pairs well with. But generally speaking, I love pairing this color with tan, sienna, blush emerald, cranberry, teal, indigo, and even black.
So how do I pair this color to update my look not just for fall but also on a year-round basis?
STRUT IN EARTH TONE COLORS
I love pairing this bright color with different shades of browns, tans, coppers, pumpkins, sienna, and reddish brown tones. It gives off this warm and cozy feeling.
GO DRAMATIC WITH GREEN
The yellow color reminds me of nature like the sunflowers, daffodils, daffodils, lemons, canaries, and bees and so naturally it pairs well with green color.
STAY SAFE WITH NEUTRALS
Neutrals pretty much go with any colors and yellow is no exceptions. As you can see here black goes really well with this bright yellow sweater.
You can also mix this color with blush because it feels so unexpectedly feminine. But most importantly, it’s all about how you feel with what you wear and the confidence you exude. If you feel good in it who cares what people think!
I hope you are enjoying this What To Wear With series as much as I have. Here, I have rounded up some beautiful yellow items that you can mix and match with, all under $100!
