Spring is a little over a month away and I can’t wait to wear some of the spring pieces for work and play. Each season I go through my closet to see what items I can keep, donate, trash, or sell to make room for new pieces. You can shop some of my pieces here.
I usually purchase a few staple pieces to update my work wardrobe. I look for pieces that can easily be mixed and matched for a seamless day-to-day dressing experience.
Here are some items that I’m excited to add to my workwear wardrobe for spring all under $100.
SHIRTDRESS

You can’t go wrong with a crisp striped shirt dress for a polished spring look. The contrasting collar and cuffs add an extra element of sophistication.
UPDATED PLEAT SKIRT

The pleated skirt is a classic and each season I look forward to new pieces with different textures and colors.
KITTEN HEELS

I find myself wearing heels lower as I age. I’m currently obsessed with wearing kitten heels because they are just chic. I love running to meetings in them because a sensible heel height is a way to go if you don’t want to be late for your meetings.
MIDI DRESS

Believe it or not, midi dresses are my go-to style because they are just an easy style to wear. They are very flattering and professional that work with a cardigan, or a blazer.
LIGHTWEIGHT TRENCH COAT

A trench coat is a must for spring showers. I love the lightweight version because it is super easy to travel with especially when the temperature unexpectedly turns from 60 to 80 in a matter of hours.
WRAP TOP

There are days (ah-hem couple times a month) when I love to wear nothing but a wrap top to hide my bloated belly. I love to wear button downs year round but I also love to trade them in for an updated wrap version in a different texture from time to time.
HIGHWAIST TROUSER

I recently stocked up my closet with high waist trousers. I find them classy and chic and very office appropriate. Try a fluid trouser in spring’s biggest color trend: nude.

Love that mango color! I’m not sure I’m bold enough to wear it in a pant, so I’m looking for prints and acessories in that color. 🙂 Nipa | https://fashionipa.com
Thank you, Nipa. I used to shy away from bold colors but I’m braver now to try anything!
