This month I’m sharing another skincare product that I think it is worth the investment, La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation SPF 20. You all know that I’m very loyal to my foundation and have been using it for over 15 years. I have occasionally switched to different types but always come back to this one.
A month ago while shopping at the mall I decided to stop by the beauty counters at Nordstrom just to look at some new products. I saw the La Mer Foundation and decided to give it a try. I immediately fell in love with the texture and the coverage on my skin. But I wasn’t ready to drop $120 for a foundation. Really, $120?! That’s a lot of money for makeup. Instead, I asked for samples so that I can try it for a few days to see how well my skin absorb this.
The next thing I remember I went back to the store and gave my credit card to the sales lady without blinking an eye. Here’s why this foundation is now my base makeup and I think it should be yours too…
- The ingredients contain La Mer’s infamous Miracle Broth that hydrates, energizes and soothes skin. So not only you are getting great coverage you are also getting skin treatment.
- The silky, weightless formula is long-wearing, natural, flexible coverage that makes my pores and imperfections virtually disappear. My skin feels like it is visually plumped with hydration, and lines and wrinkles appear softened.
- It is for medium coverage but it feels lightweight and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing any foundation.
- I’ve been told that my skin glows every time I wear this foundation. I feel that this foundation gives you naturally flawless skin and the radiance without the greasiness.
If you are looking to switch over to a great foundation and don’t mind the splurge I highly recommend this. Make sure to stop by the beauty counter at Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus for sampling. If you have dry skin this foundation is perfect for you because it really does hydrate your skin throughout the day. However, I would not recommend this foundation if you have oily skin because the foundation will not settle in your skin as well as with dry skin.
