Temperatures are rising higher and higher each summer and this year is no exception. Whether you are heading back to the office or working from the comfort of your home with plenty of Zoom calls, you need to look cool and collect and not looking like you just ran a marathon. You can’t really escape the heat but you can minimize it by the way you dress.
My favorite material to wear in the summer is linen because they are sweat absorbent and a good conductor of heat. They are also light and breathable, which helps to keep you cool. Linen may not be everyone’s favorite material to wear because they get wrinkles easily and often remain wrinkled even after ironing. But there are plenty of wrinkle-free linen pieces out there to choose from.
I get a lot of mileage out of this classic button-down linen shirt in these photos here. I bought this shirt 8 years ago and it’s been in heavy rotation every single summer. Each year I update my wardrobe by adding a piece here and there. This year I clamped down on spending due to the global pandemic but recently purchased these linen high-waist pants because I’ve been looking for them for years. They were on sale and I just couldn’t resist.
