Warehouse Faux Fur (old, love this in plum for less than $70)//Suede Boots//Chloe Drew//Tassel Floral Dress
You know a trend is in full swing when you see it everywhere from fashion magazines to almost every street style and fashion blogging websites. That trend that is happening right now is called faux fur. Actually, it’s been on trend for a few seasons now that it earned its place as a closet staple for every woman. It’s also one of my favorite fashion trends to rock every fall/winter. I know, it’s so grandiose but if you wear it right you won’t be mistaken as Cookie Monster or Chewbacca. Here are some tips that I learned to help me keep my faux fur look streamlined.
1. Keep it Simple. The easiest way to pull off a faux fur look is to keep the rest of your look simple and don’t go overboard with wearing too many loud pieces at once. I love mixing a cropped faux fur jacket with high waisted skirts and pants. This look exudes chic all over.
2. Go Bohemian. Wear it like a rockstar by pairing a shaggy faux fur coat with knee high boots, a floaty embroidered dress, and assorted jewelry.
3. Oversized. Wear an oversized faux fur coat looks stylish as well as keeping you toast warm. The key is to keep the rest of your outfit streamlined like pairing the coat with skinny jeans or cigarette pants.
This trend is here to stay ladies. For a statement-making layer and effortless style, the faux fur look is a fall/winter must-have! I’ll definitely be teaming mine with almost everything!

Thank you, Patti. It’s surprisingly warm for a faux fur garment.
This is probably the most clever blog post title I’ve seen in a LONG Time. Chewbacca and Cookie Monster!! OMg I am literally laughing out loud. I am still a bit on the fence about faux fur though, just cuz I live in Southern California and the weather just doesn’t jive well with these beauties!

Thank you, Grace! You are so sweet!!!
Completely agree with you that faux fur looks great with boho style and to not overdo it. Faux fur is already a great statement piece, so you don’t need to add too much more busy elements to make a great outfit.
Thank you, Brooke!
