Spring is almost upon us and one of the things that I always look forward to is incorporating some new trends into my wardrobe.

While most of us are still bundling in chunky knits the time has come to start thinking and planning the wardrobe for the coming season.  I personally don’t believe you have to wear every trend to stay stylish but you can certainly invest in some key pieces to keep your look updated.

One of the trends that I’m most excited about is the asymmetrical necklines.  Remember last year’s off shoulder and drop shoulder looks?  Well, say bye bye because the neckline is moving asymmetrically to the collarbone this spring and summer.

I’m really excited about the asymmetrical trend because it is wearable and the neckline doesn’t feel completely naked.

Another trend that I will be incorporating into my look is pastels.  In case you are not aware, the ice cream hue is making a comeback in a big way this spring and summer.

I absolutely love is this asymmetrical ruffle dress in pastel pink because it has all the trendy elements without screaming too trendy.  I would definitely wear this dress to a wedding, al fresco dining, brunch, and a girls night out.

If you are looking to update your wardrobe with these trends I would highly recommend shopping at places like Topshop, ASOS, H&M, and ZARA because they are affordable with an easy return policy.  I have also rounded up some key pieces (all under $80)  so you don’ t have to look.
