3 Tips To Style A Trench Coat For Spring

A classic trench coat, the wear-now and wear-later timeless style, never goes out of style. Some may argue that this timeless item is the holy grail of wardrobe staples because it is adaptable and trans-seasonal that suits all shapes and sizes. If you don’t own one you may consider investing in one.

The trench coat is probably the hardest working item in my wardrobe that I own. There are so many effortless iterations in wearing this classic style from minidress to skinny jeans. Here are some of my favorite ways of wearing this lightweight coat during a time of transitional weather like now.

BRIGHT COLORS

I love wearing colorful flowy dresses in spring. The transitional weather can go from hot to cold to lukewarm within minutes. If I want to wear a dress when the temperature dips I can easily drape a lightweight trench coat by tying the coat’s belt in the back to look stylish.

LAYERING

The lightweight trench coat is effortless for easy layering. I love to layer a lightweight cardigan underneath the trench coat for a sophisticated look that keeps me adapted to cool or warm temperature at all times.

ACCESSORIES

I love to add a scarf or a pair of colorful shoes to an all-black outfit with a lightweight trench for a look that is spring friendly.
