I’m a beauty junkie so I love to try different skincare and makeup products. If you follow me then you know I don’t wear a lot of makeup…except a bold lip here and there.
When it comes to makeup I tend to stay with brands that my skin responds well to. I have my favorites and have been loyal to them for years.
Recently, a box of NYX Professional Makeup products was sent to me for review and I just have to share them with you. Although I love every single one of them I have narrowed a few favorites that I think you may want to add to your makeup collection.
NYX MICRO BROW POUR LES SOURCILS ($9.99)
I never thought I would stray from my Anastasia Whiz Brow until I met NYX Brow Pour Les Sourcils. The pencil is creamy and the fine point allowed me to fill my brows with ease. The look and feel are eerily similar to Anastasi’s without the hefty price.
NYX HD STUDIO PHOTOGENIC CONCEALER ($3.49)
I absolutely love this concealer. I was really surprised at how good this concealer was. It covers dark circles and lasts all day long.
NYX DEWY FINISH FINI VELOUTE ($5.59)
I usually don’t apply a makeup setting spray unless I have an event at night that would require my makeup to stay up throughout the entire venue. This setting spray is lightweight and comfortable. My makeup stays put while offering the dewy look.
NYX HONEY DEW ME UP ($11.89)
This primer is inspired by honey’s golden glow that neutralizes the appearance of discoloration and redness. I love how the gold flecks create a luminous look that helps keep my skin looking radiant all day.
NYX HD FINISHING POWDER
I don’t wear powder at all because it ages my mature skin. However, I really love this powder by NYX because it is lightweight that helps soften the appearance of fine lines and pores. I tend to lay this over my face whenever I do a photo shoot because it gives a nice fresh dewy look in pictures even though it is a matt finish in person.
I didn’t try the eyeshadows because I felt that they’re just too bright for my style. Instead, I gave them to my sister and she has been having fun experimenting with these colors.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the NYX products because they are super-affordable, high-quality and even long-wearing.
