What can I say this October is more special than any October.   After almost 5 years I finally have a husband for seven days a week.  As of this month, the hubs will no longer trek to Las Vegas on the weekends.   We can now spend family time on the weekends and do things that we have not been able to do before due to time constraints.  That is the best birthday present I have ever received.

So weather-wise, October has been quite temperamental.  It got cold earlier in the month followed by a couple days of rain and then the heat, and now as I type my feet are bundled in faux fur slippers.

I thought we were busy in September but October has been really really crazy  –  lots of exciting events for the entire family.  But we managed to laugh it off at some of these events along the way.  Read on to see how we survived October in a beautiful chaotic way…One of our toilets decided to stop working.  Initially, we thought it was the toilet valve and flapper that needed to be replaced.  Long story short, we ended up buying a new toilet and replacing the water valve.  We couldn’t locate a plumber who was willing to work on the weekends so the hubs successfully installed a brand new toilet by himself – my hero!

LOCCITANE BRUNCH

I was invited to the Loccitane Brunch at Laduree The Grove to celebrate the launch of the Locci Truck.  The brunch was just beyond gorgeous and the Loccitane team was extremely gracious and nice.  I had a wonderful time meeting new people as well as other bloggers.  We came home with a personalized shopping tote, a Gorjana jewelry item, as well as Loccitane products.  I chose the Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum because that is currently my favorite serum to use at night.  It hydrates my skin and gives this beautiful glow when I wake up.

GOOSEBUMPS 2 – HAUNTED HALLOWEEN

So the kids really wanted to see Goosbumps 2: Haunted Halloween because they saw Goosebumps and loved it.  The hubs wanted to see Halloween but we didn’t want the kids to see that movie.  So we all ended up seeing the movies we wanted to see at the same time: the hubs went to the theatre next door to watch Halloween while the boys and I saw Goosebumps2.  I personally think that you can wait for the DVD for these two movies.

I was attending events every single weekend in October.  I went to the Diner en Blanc the first weekend of October followed by  The Veuve Clicquot Polo Match,  and FierceCon 2018.  I also attended the Marina del Rey Film Festival and the Art 4 Peace Awards for hubby’s film Unwritten.  It was quite exhausting and  I’m still recovering from all of them.  Sometimes, too much of a good thing is not so good!

Until then, our next adventures await!Li
