shoulder-baringAre you into the shoulder-baring (aka off-the-shoulder) trend like everyone else?  Yes, this trend has been around forever, but for some reason, it is still going on strong since it re-emerged last year.

I have always loved this trend but wasn’t quite sure if I could pull it off in fall/winter.   Well, who likes to bare their shoulders in the cold?!  I know I don’t. I have always opted for big fluffy comfy sweaters in fall/winter, and I still do.

Each season I update my closet to give my wardrobe a boost and to keep my style fresh.  While perusing the internet I stumbled upon this sweater.  I loved everything about it except the shoulder-baring part.  Although I was shopping for a cozy sweater the shoulder-baring trend was everywhere!  So I decided to join the party and bought it anyway to give it a try because I had the option to return.  Well, let’s just say it made a permanent home in my closet and has been in heavy rotation since the purchase.

This sweater can be worn year-round from fall through winter and into spring.  This style is a great way of revealing some skin without having to bare everything.  It is sexy, stylish, and even cozy.  And since this purchase, I have added a few more to my wardrobe.

If you also want to try this trend I have rounded up some of the best shouldering-baring sweaters that are stylish yet it won’t break your bank (keep scrolling).

  1. Looks amazing!!! But I am compelled to ask you to do a post on these jeans and others with the frayed leg hem. I am seeing this done with a neat fray and like this pair you are wearing in which the hem appears to been ripped out, unfolded, and all the fade lines are present. The pair you are wearing are even more interesting in that the it also has large bites out of the fabric. Did you do this yourself or buy them this way?

Thank you, Christy. I have done many of the frayed denim in the past and shared on the blog. I will continue to do more of them since I love wearing them so much so stay tuned! The pair that I’m wearing came straight from Madewell. It was the only few places that I was able to order a frayed denim in petite without touching it. This exact pair comes in a regular size as well, and I believe I have linked it on this post.
