I hope you have been enjoying our monthly series called A Month of Tiny Delights, a new series where each month I invite you to pause and revel in life’s little blissful moments that can turn a whole day around since it can be hard to slow down at a time in life where everything moves so quickly.  So this February why not….

SPEND A DAY AT THE MUSEUM

Generally speaking, museums make me feel good.  For one most national museums are free. But above all, i is a place where you can glance at all of the masterpieces and get a different experience each time.  And you can still look stylish while admiring the artwork.  

ADD A SPECIAL GARNISH FOR YOUR DRINK

This is something that I need to do often.  Adding a garnish to your drink can certainly bring out the flavor in it.  So this month why not add a rosemary twig, lemon zest or basil to your drink.

TRYING NEW FOODS AND LIKING THEM

I have a friend who absolutely refuses to try new foods without even tasting them first.  But hey if you don’t try how will you know? Unless the food is breathing live and moving I’m up to try anything.

HAVE ME TIME

As a busy mom, I do my best to carve out time for self-care and block everything else out.  It’s not easy.  Almost every weekend I squeeze in at least 30 minutes for hair/nails/skin care from masking my hair to getting a new manicure.   Even 15 minutes of  me time each week is good for the soul.

HAVE A BOISTEROUS GATHERING

I love a big gathering especially when I spend it with my friends.  There is something about having a big boisterous gathering that can create this positive energy and happiness around us.

PLAN A GIRLS GETAWAY

I think this is a must do for all the girls because it is so important to get away from it all for a while.  Some of my best and most memorable trips are the ones that I took with girlfriends.  As a matter of fact, my girlfriends and I are planning our next trip (stay tuned for more details!).

PICK UP AN ADULT COLORING BOOK

I have an adult coloring book that I play what from time to time.  I love doing relaxing things to calm my mind.

FINDING A NEW USE FOR AN OLD JAR

I’ve been collecting a lot of past glass jars lately thanks to my growing twin boys.  I can use them as vases or nail polish storage.

REARRANGE A ROOM

I have a tendency to rearrange a room once in a while.  For me, it lifts my mood while the process provides satisfaction and instills a sense of effectiveness.

HOLDING HANDS

Did you know that holding hands increases oxytocin?  I love holding my kids and hubs’ hands because it makes me feel happy, confident, and strength.  

February is the shortest month of the year but long enough to try any or all of the above tiny delights to turn your day around.
