MAKE VACATION PLANS

If you haven’t already why not plan a small getaway with the family since spring break is around the corner.  You don’t need to plan an elaborate trip but a road trip not too far from home is good enough.  

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A FEEL-GOOD WORKOUT

I have a love/hate relationship with workouts.  I don’t like to exercise but I know I have to due to aging.  Our muscle mass decreases as we age so it is important to work out.  What I really look forward to is AFTER the workout!  I love taking a shower after because it feels so good.

MAKE NEW FRIENDS

There is something to be said about making new friends.  Yes, in this digital age it is virtually impossible to talk to anyone to really get to know them.  So why not embrace the digital age and meet some people who have similar interests like you?  I met quite a few friends on Instagram and we meet up occasionally for lunch/coffee. 

FILL THE BATH WITH LOTS OF BUBBLES

I love taking baths, especially in the wintertime.  I love adding this bubble bath to my baths because the smell of orange vanilla relaxes me.

EMBRACE CHANGE

Honestly, embracing change is no fun because we all love to stay in our comfort zone.  Well, change happens to every single one of us and it’s not easy.  But the good news is that it is not a difficult task.   Keep in mind that change helps you grow, teaches you to be flexible, makes you more compassionate, reveals your strengths, and also offers opportunities.  So why not seize the moment and run with it!

DO SOME THERAPEUTIC CHORES

I used to hate doing chores when I was a kid.  Now that I’m a lot older I learn to appreciate and enjoy them.  As a matter of a fact, I find ironing my clothes has a soothing and therapeutic effect. You may want to give t a try 🙂

RE-READING A GOOD BOOK

I love re-reading a good book because I usually missed the whole point the first time around.  But deep down it gives me comfort to read something that I am familiar with.

ENJOY A LAZY AFTERNOON

Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and just sit somewhere and enjoy your lazy afternoon.  I love sitting outside in our backyard with a cup of tea in the afternoon and just do nothing but daydream.

SHOP IN A FOREIGN MARKET

Have you been to a foreign supermarket?  I stopped by a Korean supermarket down the street from our home and it was the most bizarre experience.  I really enjoyed looking at their packaging and the types of food they sell.  I walked out with a can of Kimchie and a bottle of Soju.

ENJOY THE RAIN

I often share on this blog and social media how much I love listening to the rain.  I love the sound of raindrops hitting the roof and the floors.   I love the beautiful grayness of the sky and it’s just so beautiful when it rains.

March is the month where everything is springing forward but long enough to try any or all of the above tiny delights to turn your day around.
