Happy 4th of July everyone!
Today is a happy day. A day of independence celebration. A day to be grateful for what you have. A day that I’m certainly grateful for. The PEOPLE in this country stood up for what they believed in and fought for their independence. If it weren’t for the American people I wouldn’t be here. And for this, I’m very very grateful and THANK YOU!
Today, I’d like to share a non-profit organization called Sevenly. Sevenly is a social good fashion brand that partners with a new charity each week, promoting and selling limited edition graphic tees and other lifestyle products. Seven dollars from each sale goes towards the charity of the week, helping raise funds and awareness. Sevenly’s foundation is that People Matter, and since their launch in June 2011, Sevenly has continued to lead a generation towards generosity, raising over 2.3 million dollars to date.
This week ‘s charity that Sevenly is working with is called Sheltering Wings. Sheltering Wings provides emergency housing for women and children suffering from any form of domestic abuse. They build stable and independent lives through essential programs offered in a supportive and Christ-centered environment. Do you know that every two minutes a person is raped? What is even more surprising is that most rape victims know their attacker. A majority of victims do not tell anyone what happened to them after the incident for fear of judgment or harm, or that no one will believe them. This violent and atrocious reality is happening all around us and its victims are left scarred forever.
With your support, Sheltering Wings will provide emergency intake and care for victims of rape and sexual assault. From housing, to security, counseling and legal services, we will provide the critical aid for women who have just suffered sexual assault. Your support also ensures the “rape kit” or forensic evidence is tested, so a perpetrator can be identified and linked to the crime. Together, we can provide safety for victims and raise awareness of this far too common reality.
I was sent a cropped tee shirt from Sevenly for review. I paired with a hi-low skirt and finished the look with a statement necklace. The material of the tee shirt was super comfy. You can view their entire collection here. Any purchases made on Sevenly will provide emergency shelter and ensures medical aid for rape victims. Let’s help these victims regain their confidence so that they can fight for their independence and and not be afraid to stand up for their rights.
Have a happy 4th and be safe!

Happy 4th of july to you! 🙂
I’d like to invite you on PersunMall Summer Style Giveaway, just click here.
You have a remarkable way to style casual outfits, something I am learning and taking inspiration from other bloggers, my work does not allow much scope for casual, and I find your style very refreshing!
