Hello everyone! I initially wanted to share today’s post about the Rose Royce Brand denim that I had mentioned yesterday. Unfortunately, I had to postpone that later this week because I’m still waiting on some important information from them so that I can share with you.
Today, I’d like to talk about one of the summer essentials that everyone of us needs to do more often, especially in the summer heat. I’m referring to water…water…water. There are so many benefits in drinking water; it keeps your skin looking good, helps your kidneys, maintains normal bowel function, helps energize your muscles, maintains the balance of body fluids, helps control calories, and it is inexpensive. I’m one of the biggest offenders of not drinking enough water throughout the day. I know how important it is to drink water but it tends to escape my mind. This type of negligence almost cost me some major health damage recently. Lately, I had suffered from a mild heat exhaustion and dehydration. I experienced dizziness and the urge to vomit. Luckily, I was able to combat it by drinking a lot of water.
When BKR (pronounced beeker) bottles sent me this glass water bottle for review I was extremely happy. At last, a glass bottle in a bright yellow silicone sleeve that is not too big or too small will encourage me to drink more water. It did for a few weeks! The water tasted good unlike the metallic flavor that you normally taste from stainless-steel bottles. What I love most about this bottle is that it kept the water cool and I was able to fit it in my purse without taking up a lot of room. I took the bkr water bottle with me everywhere, from shopping at the supermarket to the parks. When my twin boys finally saw the bottle they fought for it. I let them play and drink water from this bottle because it was unbreakable. Unfortunately, they hid the bkr water bottle somewhere and I was not able to locate it for our mini vacation. It was during this time that I suffered from mild heat stroke. I think it was because I missed my bkr water bottle and I subconsciously did not want to drink water from plastic bottles. When we came home, I found my bkr water bottle hidden behind the sofa. I made a promise that this bottle will never leave my side again and I will drink water more often!
