Anything that has to do with skincare I’m all over it. A few months ago I started using Lumen’s Vitamin C. The product was good but after researching about Vitamin C, the serum is most effective if it is applied fresh. There are products out there that would offer the same result as the fresh serum but they are just way too expensive. Two months ago I found out that one of my sisters has been using Vitamin C on her skin. You should see her skin…it’s really really nice! I immediately asked her to share her Vitamin C Serum recipe with me. I tweaked her recipe to use the organic Camu Powder instead because they are made from the camu berry, which is one of the world’s most abundant sources of vitamin C. In other words, it’s more powerful than the pure vitamin C.
I’ve been using this product for a little over a month and noticed a huge improvement on my skin. My lines are not as deep set. The skin texture is softer and more supple. Hubby kept asking me what have I done to my skin because it looks luminous lately. Today I’d like to share this recipe with you so that you can also achieve that healthy luminous glow without putting a dent on your wallet. Hey, the recipe is organic and natural so you can’t go wrong with that!
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp. organic Camu Powder.
- 2 tsp. distilled water. You can get this at any supermarket.
- 2 tsp. 100% vegetable gylcerine.
- Small amber or dark glass bottle.
Instructions:
Mix the Camu Powder and distilled water in a small bowl until the granules are dissolved. Then add glycerin to the mix. Transfer the ingredients to a dark glass bottle. Apply to the skin and let the serum soak in for a few minutes then apply your night cream as usual. I use this serum morning and night and this recipe should last up to 2 weeks.
This month we are giving away a year’s supply of beauty bars from Dove! If you have not entered you still can!!!
