Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you had a nice weekend.

Have you discovered something that you think it’s worth sharing with everyone?  For me, whenever I scored a deal I get excited and wanted to share with the whole world!   I’m sure you are aware of how much I love to shop for deals , whether that be online or at a brick and mortar store.   I had recently scored a silk blouse for $23.95 plus tax at the Ann Taylor store (instead of $35.99 plus tax on their website).  I personally prefer to shop online because it is so convenient.  On the other hand, I love taking a shopping trip and browsing at different stores.  Ann Taylor is one of those stores that I love to look and admire.  Not only do I have fun trying on different outfits but what I particularly love about this store is that I know I can always score a better deal than buying some of the same items online.

Take this blouse for example, it was on sale for $59.99 online a while ago.  At the time, there was a promotional going on for an additional 40% off for all sale items.   Knowing that I will be meeting a friend of mine for lunch the next day nearby an Ann Taylor store, I decided to wait until I visited the store.  Just as what I had suspected, the same blouse was marked $20 lower at the store.

The sales rep {again} could not explain why some of the same clearance items were marked a lot lower than online.  Hey, that’s okay with me as long as they keep marking the prices on these babies lower and lower each time.  Next time when you visit an Ann Taylor store, head to the clearance rack and compare some of the prices against their website.  You will be surprised at how much you save more just by visiting their store!  I’d love to hear what deals you had recently scored!

Just an fyi…this paisley silk blouse is no longer available online.  However, I am positive that you can probably find this blouse at their store in the sales rack for a lot lower than $39.99.

Thank you for visiting and have a fabulous day!

  1. Lovely blouse and you wear it so well. I do wish we had Ann Taylor here in Ireland – my sister in law travels to the US regularly and always has beautiful clothing from there…and she tells me all about the amazing discounts she gets in-store too! Ax

  2. I totally agree that in store deals are much better. This is a gorgeous look on you! Great find!

  3. This happened to me with a dress from JCrew last week – online it is still $70 but in store I scored it for $23. Never hurts to head to the store! Stopping by from the Funday Monday blog hop and would love to hear your thoughts on my latest post if you have a second! http://wp.me/p1MyN3-1R8 Happy Monday girl!

Thank you for stopping by, Megan. Will visit you soon 🙂

  4. Lovely blouse! That is the case with most retailers and I’m ok with it since I tend to shop at the stores 90% of the time. You look beautiful.

  5. It is really annoying that things are cheaper in store than online – but hey, as long as the store is near by and your size is in stock, it’s awesome.

  6. Thanks for the great tips. I hadn’t realized there was that much difference in pricing between the stores and online! Love Ann Taylor merchandise and love the blouse you picked up. You look darling in it (as usual)!

This look is lovely…so chic. Congrats on your steal! I find it so frustrating when shops carry different items and/or have different prices depending on if the item is online vs in store (and even more odd when there’s a difference at two actual store locations!). Looks like it worked to your advantage here though!

  8. Love this look! And I am so with you. I find the Gap is actually the worst offender. Online prices are always so much higher than in-store deals. Nice find!

  9. Yes … I love a bargain, and it feels particularly good to find something you really like at a better price. It’s a harmless brag! I’m not one to rush down to sales. My sizes are common, so almost everything in my size I want is already gone. But lately, I’ve gotten some nifty price reductions in shoes (which I go ON and On about!). Just feeling lucky!
As I should have said at the beginning … you look adorable. So pretty.

  10. Just found your blog from the friend connect blog hop! Such a cute blog! New follower for sure (: Would love if you could check out my blog and follow (:

You look stunning Janise. I haven’t shopped at Ann Taylor before but they finally have come to Canada. I’ll have to check it out.

  12. I LOVE finding deals like this.. it happens to me all the time with Zara. The prices in the store never really match the sale prices online. Sometimes the deal is in the store but sometimes the deal is online. It’s such a guessing game but I guess that’s why us women like the challenge 🙂 Visiting you from the Real Girl Glam linkup! 🙂

  13. Great blouse and good point! I usually need to shop in person for the sole reason of trying everything on. I usually do my homework online first but find the stores tend to have different things on the clearance racks anyway.

  14. I didn’t know that their clearance rack was cheaper in store than online. Good to know! Thanks for linking up with us 🙂 Can you please just add my blog link to this post or the Look What I Got button? Thanks!
