Hello everyone! Today is very exciting! Not only will I introduce my first look of the month for the Remix & Restyle series but also be part of this amazing launch called Style File: How we Wore It linkup with our host, Sherry from The Life of the Party blog and co-host, Brittany of Try it On Me. This linkup will take place every two weeks and we will be sharing the greatest looks from our search through many blogs.

For the past two months I have introduced 2 items with 9 different looks for the Remix & Style series, which explore what one item can be remixed and restyled in various ways that still look chic and polished without spending more money. This month is no different. I have selected the 12 year old black cashmere cardigan from my closet for this month’s series. This cardigan has been with me through tough times, sad times and happy times. It is still intact and unbreakable!
For the first look, I paired the cardigan with a leather pencil skirt. This skirt is 13 years old to be exact and also sat in my parents’ garage for the past 6 years. Due to long periods of air exposure, half of the skirt was rusty and chalky. My Cobbler restored the color for me even though I took it in for a dye in a black color. I’m glad he did because he gave life to the skirt and it now looks brand spanking new!

For our first fabulous fur look is Lauren of the popular blog Style Elixir. Lauren is looking oh so chic in her fur vest by wearing all black and then finishing her look in a fabulous burgundy hat.
Elizabeth of Elizabeth Nygard is looking fabulous in a similar outfit but added her pop of color in a pair of wine colored pair of jeans. Perfection as always Elizabeth!
This has long been one of my favorite looks of Alison’s of Get Your Pretty On. I love how she paired it with unexpected stripes and this color combination is gorgeous on her.
Alice of Happiness at Mid Life is a Pro at mixing and matching to perfection. She paired her fur with simple pattern top, dark washed jeans and finished her look with a pair of gold wedges.
